More on the serial killer

If you missed it in the comments section, little brother posted this link to the KSTP in-depth feature on the serial killer(s?). Just to reiterate, I have been vehemently stating that the series of seven college-aged men all ending up in the Mississippi after drinking in downtown over a relatively short span of time is much much more than a series of coincidences, which is what the La Crosse Police Department wants everyone to believe. Since the La Crosse "accidental drownings" began happening, other young college-aged men in St. Cloud, Eau Claire, and Minneapolis have died the under the same "coincidental" circumstances.

Now, up until about ten years ago, college-aged men were getting shit-faced all over river towns in the Upper Midwest without fucking dying and turning up in rivers. Suddenly, it happens much more regularly than anyone would like, and we are left to wonder what the authorities were doing. So far, only the Chris Jenkins death--which happened while I lived in Minneapolis, but I immediately believed it to have been linked to the La Crosse (or "Smiley Face") serial killer--has been ruled a homicide, and that was years after the fact.

Speaking of bodies turning up in bodies of water...

This case also screams of foul play, but it doesn't look like it'll be heading that way. Gotta love APD...

Where's Ozomatli? Don't they need to be arrested right about now?

Yeah I watched that on KTSP and it looks like it is indicating more and more that there is a serial killer. Whether or not the City of La Crosse will agree with the evidence is another story altogether. The La Crosse Tribune currently is not running any stories about the recent developments. And here is why http://www.rivervalleyblogs.com/copscourts/

excerpt from:
http://www.weau.com/home/headlines/18353369.html

"22-year-old Josh Snell from Hastings, Minnesota, disappeared in Eau Claire in June of 2005. His brother says he was in town for a wedding and later went to the bars. Snell was found four days later, pulled from the Chippewa River. Jon Snell says he doesn't believe his brother wandered into the water.

In a phone call with a friend "he said he was scared, that he was hiding in a brushy area, that he was running from someone, that he didn’t know who it was or how he was going to get away. (He said) he didn’t do anything, but he was terrified and he was scared for his life,” Jon Snell says."

Police determined there was no foul play. The Eau Claire PD sounds even more fucking inept than LaX.

Here's one for the fucking X-Files...

"Witnesses spotted 21-year old Jesse Miller on the shoreline beneath the Lake Street bridge at 3:26 a.m. They flagged down a police car and told officers the man's intentions were unclear. Police began to question him, and upon doing so, Miller began moving further into the river until they lost sight of him. According to the report, Miller told police, "You have no idea what's going on" before he moved further into the water. There is no evidence the man was under the influence of alcohol or that it was an act of suicide, said Tim Golden, detective sergeant of the Eau Claire Police Department."

I think it is interesting how fast this story died off..as if some people don't want to hear anymore of it.
