Prick Tunes: The Breeders "Cannonball"

OMD's out for the moment, so I am high-jacking your Prickish airwaves for a few days:
The Hipster Pod

Sure, we all love widescreen HDTVs, so nothing says 90's like a YouTube clip with a grainy, boxed screen. Bands of the era congregated on MTV in second-hand-store garb amidst a brick backdrop and attempted to be as quirky as possible, the first breed of hipsters. Here we have a staple of my yellow Sony Walkman days; yes, I owned a Last Splash tape by The Breeders. The Breeder's were originally started as a side project from Kim Deal of Pixies fame, and wound up meandering along, releasing 5 random albums over the last 20 years and touring sparsely in between. However, nothing brings me back to 1993 like this one, with especially of-the-time commentary on how they enlisted Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon as the director.
