Over the past month or two, I've gotten really into Poliça's 2012 release Give You The Ghost. The Minneapolitan supergroup was lauded by Justin Vernon, who told Rolling Stone, "They're the best band [he'd] ever heard." Sure, his bandmate Mike Noyce contributed vocals, and Poliça is the brainchild of his former Gayngs-mates Ryan Olson and Channy Leaneagh, but the love is much deserved. Give You The Ghost is a fantastic record.
"Tiff" is the first single off of their forthcoming sophomore release Shulamith and features Justin Vernon on backing vocals. It definitely picks up where Give You The Ghost left off, and this is most assuredly a good thing. Its prospective fall release gives you enough time to still swish Give You The Ghost around in your mouth.
